SJC wool Halfbelt. I had actually legitimately forgotten about buying this jacket and was moving heavy winter coats to the basement this AM and found this gem buried in the back of the foyer closet. It’s a perfect substitute for a day when you need no more than a sweater.

Thanks Craig. It really is! Shame it got buried during my fall denim-nado. I could’ve worn this one a lot more and would have! That is a GREAT jacket!!!!
Hello everybody. I'm new on the forum and d like to share my experience. Here in France leather jackets are very expensive even if you choose second hand (200euros for a basic schott perfecto not always made in usa). i recently got an old excelled mc jacket, cracked with cut belt for very low price. just tried to save the leather with oil but nothing more cause i consider defaults are part of its history. I met a retired leather artisan and for some euros he helped me to change the lining to obtain the result below. Same jacket, got it wet few days ago, and mink oiled after it dried perhaps a touch darker but now it is in mid tan pumpkin color stage, hopefully i can get browner tone soon.

Once you apply the Obenaufs, it will get a few shades darker, but it also might stop tanning/ darkening after that. Try putting it on a raw/new piece first and put it out with an uncoated piece to see if it tans over a week/month or so...I think the Obenaufs might seal it somehow...not sure.yes, i want it darker, I gave up with naturalist route, I just bought obenauf 1 minute ago
