Finally got a Wrangler trucker that fit! This is a 42 and I have a 39 inch chest and I could probably squeeze myself into a size 40 but I’m glad I got this one.

Apologies for the crappy pic, but at least the bathroom mirror is clean!

Haha, didn’t think about that before posting. Frost for the kids, lightning magazine for me!

It’s a short one for sure, 55 cm or 21.65 inches! Wrangler both top and bottom today, I also like how it pairs with the jeans, thanks! I’m waiting on a 5* leather version of this jacket to arrive, currently in Germany, I’m hoping it fits as well as this one!

Looks great. Preferred trucker fit as far as I am concerned. And right on about the A-2. I honestly can't tell if it's good or bad, they all look same to me. XD

That's a little too much for sure but maybe outdoor gear is their equivalent to our leather jackets. I'm sure it is all for documentation purposes as they say it didn't happen if there's no photo/video lol.

I think you’re absolutely right. There can be several reasons to want to get in full outdoor gear. I just find it funny cause for me that is strictly utilitarian clothing. I realise other people see it differently. I do have a full fjällräven outfit as well, but for me I reserve it for longer hiking trips when I’m planning on spending a couple of nights outside.[/QUOTE]

Fjällräven is a little bit more expensive compared to North Face, which I haven’t tried so I can’t comment on any quality differences. They might be even more expensive for you in the US, since it’s a Swedish brand. Fjällräven make super durable stuff though. My favourite flannel shirt is a fjällräven, I’ve had it for 7 years and have worn it for maybe a 100 days a year. NO sign of wear at all. Even the colours look the same as when it was brand new. I used to own another fjällräven shirt that I got from a thrift store, which I wore for several years. In the end I got bored with it so I gave it away to a thrift store. It was also in great condition after who knows how many years?

Thanks! I’m pretty pumped about the Wrangler trucker and how it fits. All the dimensions are really close to the dimensions that I gave to 5* so that one should fit similarly. It actually arrived to Sweden this morning so I should be able to pick it up later today or tomorrow. Really excited about it!

I went hiking a couple of times this summer, and you see can still see this from time to time. Not as common as they used to be 5 years ago but they’re still there. Although this summer I only saw them with old ladies, which makes sense to me. They should help with balance.

The funniest shit for me though is all the people gearing up in their serious outdoor gear. Like they’ll be wearing the sturdiest hiking boots, fjällräven gear all over. For a hike of 5 km on a gravel path through the woods. Dude, you’re not even in the woods! My 5 year old walked this path in flip flops while holding a barbie doll.[/QUOTE]

Trying to get past as a runner, biker or even (real) walker, you are in for a lot of "jolly" remarks etc. I really shouldn´t let that bug me at all, but I always fail...

The most enoying thing about "Nordic-Walking" is that the "athletes" usually come in herds of 5+ silver-agers obstructing any path there is. Trying to get past as a runner, biker or even (real) walker, you are in for a lot of "jolly" remarks etc. I really shouldn´t let that bug me at all, but I always fail...

Ditto. Rows after rows of people so geared up, they might as well proceed to Annapurna while they're at it, but no, you often see the same sort, taking a break only at the most narrow spots on the path. I just run past them and ignore the comments. The entire etiquette where you have to say hi to the people who have reached the summit (of one mile) is so annoying. There's like a thousand people you'll pass at any given day. It's not that big of a deal.
