Schott steerhide collared 441PP today for the start of our autumn. Max temp 21C today ( last Saturday was 37C !)
At our usual pull up coffee stop. Just had a rather heavy ( and not forecast until the afternoon !) shower.
Oily glassy sea , apparently the worst time for shark attack so as usual we stayed out of the water haha..
The Schott 441PP has a zip out fleece liner , zipped sleeves and three outside zippered pockets. Rare size 44"
Made in the early 90's for the Japanese market as far as I can make out. Ex-ebay UK to me a few years back.
I wear this as a "winter" jacket hence this being it's first Fedora lounge appearance

I thought only us Navy guys used the term “gig line”! Glad to hear it again in “common” usage! :)
Well another good sign is that I first heard it from another normal person who was not in the military so hopefully the term comes back more!

@Colin G That jacket is absolutely stunning dude!

This is an unlined French blue work coat from Captain Corsaire. They do various similar things (there's also a thicker, semi-lined, double-breasted short pea coat) in different colours. For a fraction of what a high-end leather jacket costs, they're a steal. This one has lasted ages and has to do the usual weather extremes. The only pockets are two buttoned patch ones. The material it's made of is dense, but less coarse than Carhartt/Dickies coats. I can more or less get away with it at work, too.

Today was a Pegasus Luftwaffe with added length to the sleeves. It's brown horsehide with a black topcoat. For roughly the last five years it's been my main winter coat. If I had a complaint, it'd be that the body is a little boxy for me. The chest fits well but the bottom, at times, feels a bit too loose (like I'm a bell clapper rattling around in it). Personally, I'd prefer more V shape to it. Since it has been my winter jacket, that's mitigated some by wearing layers and a scarf, though. Second complaint is the left side pull works its way out of the buckle. Only the left. It must be something to do with how I move, sit, etc.

This is an awesome jacket! I think most people would kill for a fit like that. Well done!

What leather and color is this? It's really beautiful.
