I purchased mine end of 2018 from a fellow lounge member from Belgium. Yes, it's wool lined like yours which is getting almost too warm now. RC makes really good quality jackets and the Shinki used is, I guess, from the same source Freewheelers gets the Shinki from. Glad to hear that I inspired you to wear yours which fits and suits you perfectly - if you don't mind you can post a picture. Btw. there are sometimes really reasonable offers (approx. 1000€ or sometimes less) on Buyee.com for new RC jackets....I was often tempted but always resisted.

RC single rider today, just like Robbie.

One thing to bear in mind is that the battered hides seem to get abraded in the construction process more than other hides.

The leather gets hammered and clamped quite a bit, and this leaves its marks. I don't consider these to be faults - the neck joint and underarm vent holes (which must have been super-punched in) are areas that might upset some folks, but they're probably part of the effect of the battering on the surface layer.

I am more and more impressed with this hide with every new pics and I was pretty impressed when you posted the first one. Want something in this hide. What, though? My imagination can't seem to get past a regular Perfecto. Not a bad thing, perhaps.

It's a great hide - it is pre-wallopped, though, and seems to shed top layer quickly. There are miniature surface 'cuts' near underarm rivets, etc. in the surface coating that you'd normally see in HH where the cuff leather has been sewn and hammered. I don't think they're weaknesses in the hide (in fact, every HH jacket I have has some tiny surface blemish and none has ever expanded or affected durability); only my Aero in goat seems 'flawless'. It's like a jacket made out of Tom Waits' voice after Ron Perlman and he have had an argument in a sandstorm.

I honestly spent more than a minute to find out which is then and which is now, the left one looks to have nice settled in back creases, but the right one has more crushed rear hemline, so I guess the right one is the now.

One on the left still has the tag on it if you look closely. The right photo has molded to the body a little better. To be honest I haven't wore it much since I got my Thedis. It's not that I don't like the Teamster and would consider passing it on. I just really enjoy the unique qualities of both of my Thedi jackets.

Thedi has some of the best hides I've seen on here. I need to part with at least one jacket (and preferably two) before I can consider another purchase - if I did, the tan buffalo looks great. It'd suit a Mulligan-style jacket really well. Roll on the end of lockdown and back to Shanghai. Just two jackets in the cupboard and only one long winter and a short spring to wear them in.
