Spent the whole day in a Carhartt. Why are the sleeves so wide? My arms aren't skinny, but the sleeves would accommodate jugs. Is there any way of tamping them down? It's still quite new... Excellent jacket, though.

I could get my leg into the sleeve of my Detroit...I think it has to do with keeping it very mobile...

This is a modified version of a brakeman jacket, custom-ordered from Tony Leather in Shanghai. Weather is finally warm enough in Montreal for this mid weight jacket. Lighter than my Vanson Enfield comp weight, but significantly heavier than my Aero CR Vincenza HH. Veg tanned steer hide, smell very similar to my Aero vincenza jacket. Have been wearing this jacket quite a bit lately. I quite like it.

Tony Leather in Shanghai? This is a new maker? First time I’ve heard of them, would be interesting to check out

If I starched the arm out straight, I reckon I could use it as an impromptu cannon. Scan the harbour for sinkable ships, lug a cannonball in...

In retrospect, Schott makes 'em best.

It really is a great jacket. Sure, the craftmanship is not on par with Aero (couple of stitches have come loose, for example), but the leather has lots of character and the range of motion is superb.

Love my Carhartt Detroit. It’s such a rugged jacket and all season. But the arms! My God. I think I can fit a leg and a half in them.

It's the pattern that nobody can touch.

It's a very small maker, in business for a couple of years now. They don't even have a web site, just a taobao page. Limited choices of hide, but service is pretty good, work is fine too.

I don't have access to taobao at the moment, but I can find the link later. I got the jacket when I was living there.
