Today dawned clear and cool...in the mid-forties...much cooler than any morning since last April. So I’m wearing a faithful reproduction of a jacket that never existed. This is my Spearhead Militaria, wool A-1. There may have been civilian jackets like this, back in the day. But I think the only actually issued military A-1s were capeskin.

Still...this is nice, comfortable jacket for a blustery day.

Thanks for posting that.

I've looked at that on their website a couple of times, along with their wool and leather version, and its good to see a photo of one being worn outside of the limited photos on their own website.

Jonesy,
What a beautiful jacket and it looks like a perfect fit! You are playing in the big leagues now.
Thanks El Marro
I have gotten a lot of really good advice from many very nice and smart people on this forum. I am doing a lot of studying, and have an appointment to see about taking out a 2nd mortgage on my house.:)

Calebd - Welcome to FL! I think that vintage jacket is quite befitting of you and you should wear it proudly!

Just protect your wallet around here, you may well decide to collect more... :)
