Jonesy that looks pretty pristine to me but really any leather can look wrinkled or smooth depending on storage. The best way to tell if a jacket is old or new is by examining the knits or the lining of signs of discolouring or wear or evidence of sweat. Leather brand new can be all wrinkled and take a few wears to flatten out and told to one's chase, as it were. This may be superfluous advice but never iron.

Just got my first black leather jacket. Now I'm bad! It's a used jacket, and might just be a little too short, but it's mine!

But I have a question. It was listed as "only a couple of months old worn 2-3 times so it's like new". Then why is it so rumpled, creased and crinkly looking?

The jacket was only worn by myself 2-3 times so probably not more than a few hrs at most from when it arrived new from SB, when not worn hung on a wooden hanger it was unfortunately just a tad to big for me so had to go to a new home as to why the leathers crinkled in spots your guess is as good as mine it arrived like that from SB it may the batch of leather they used?? some parts of the jacket do have a “tumbled” appearance similar to a couple of my time worn ELMC jackets, maybe it’s something they do to the Black Shinki?

Knits look pristine. Lining looks brand new. Labels are clean. All the stitching (I think i spelled it right this time) is solid. I think I got a very nice jacket.

I think this jacket is essentially brand new, and the price was pretty good. Accept that the seller lives on the other side of the planet. :) I didn't forget the smiley face this time.

I'm still doing my homework, and all of you are helping. I am pretty happy with the jacket. Could have been they pieced together pieces from different parts of the hide (or hides). One panel in a sleeve looks completely different from the one next to it for example. But, I really know very little about this stuff.
I do think I did pretty good for a Newbie, and the seller was very helpful, and patient. Accept for that thing about being on the other side of the world.

haha thanks, actually the comments I received based on their frequency are:
- Today is so hot, how do you wear a jacket on a day like this,
- What is the thing on the back, and I start explaining about this game Final Fantasy VII .... and they looked like , and so I simplify it with just random thing I bought from ebay
- or if family suspected I don't eat enough or forget to eat living alone, and followed by my answer that I weigh the same, and they ask if that with or without the jacket... :(

I don't think I ever posted this photo from last April. We're still at 24ºC during the day in Autumn here... wearing short sleeve polos. Heading to London next weekend, I hope weather is colder or I'm going to get really pissed.

Vintage Sportogs suede jacket with detachable belt. Bought it the previous day to the photo.
