Something about that jacket that's really appealing. Cheers.

Jut got this in the mail, on a total impulse buy. Gotta quit hitting that Buy It Now Button. Wanted to see what a Chevignon looked like. Really nice leather, very soft, yet seems pretty strong with some nice patina. Don't speak much French but the label says Cuir de Vachette, which I think means cow. There is some fraying on the lining on both cuff, and a bit on the hem. I could get it sewed up easily enough or just live with it as it is actually vintage, I think. I love it! it is a bit trim but it is ok, got the sleeve length that is so hard for me to find in a vintage jacket. However, I think it is just too short. Ok guys lets hear the opinions one and all.

You are the Trucker guru. Yes now that you mention it the shoulder seams drape almost to my biceps. That is the only reason the sleeves are long enough. I am used to that trying to find jackets with long enough sleeves.
I just can’t get passed how high it drapes at the length. Feels like it is almost up to my navel. I am completely out of it on fashion. I have a 90s Levi mall denim Trucker which is much longer. Maybe I am just an old fogey who doesn't get the style.:) I am listening to old Beatles music as I write this.
I have been wearing it today unbuttoned. It is really comfy. I really dig it. The leather is so soft, yet seems very strong. Love the style....but I wish it was longer.
What do you think (I know it is up to me), but do you think it is a keeper, or should I pass it on?
I may wear it a bit more to make a decision, but you input is invaluable.
Thanks,
Peace.

I do own gloves. But it has to be awfully miserable outside for me to wear them. In my claustrophobic mind, I might as well be wearing handcuffs. I have a pair with me in this photo, but they’re in my coat pocket. Where they belong.

Ah North Carolina, my Mother's home state.... I knew there was a lot of "odd" peeples down there from my childhood visits. "Miserable"? Good Lord man you're shoveling snow! SNOW!!!!! LOL! Takes all kinds I suppose....

I like a short jacket, but this one is really short.. it's a thing with Chevignon, many of their jackets are very broad in the shoulders and very short, I don't think this one was meant for someone as tall as you. I'd pass it on.

by the way that SB Roadster Horween black overdye FQHH teacore that you sold me at a great price is finally softening up. I have been wearing it the most lately in order to break it in. I even slept in it a couple of times. Ok, i'm weird, but i know some of you have done that too.
It is now showing a lot of brown under the black in very interesting and lovely patterns. I''m not sure hot to describe it, but some of the brown shows up in faint long streaks, and in other parts of the jacket it shows up in larger patches, but not completely brown, but definitely not black.
It is cool.
Thanks!

Looks alright open but when fastened I think it looks too short. The proportions seem odd to me. Looks super roomy, like Arnold would have a hard time filling out the shoulders but then awkwardly short. If it were a tighter fit all around the length might not seem as off... I'd put this one on the chopping block and cozy back up in that mariner.

Lol I'm not a guru of anything, let alone jackets. XD

Okay, honestly, while I still say it's not bad as this style is very forgiving... You can of course do better. And you did! Pass it on. It's cool but it's a bit too short and the shoulders are too wide. It's mostly the shoulders for me. But damn, it's a beautiful jacket...
