Half an inch? That's unlucky, to be off so little from the perfect measurements.. had that before myself.. you wear the jacket and enjoy it but there's always this nagging thought that it could be just that bit better..

Yeah, but I've found a way to remedy this - when faced with that nagging feeling that the jacket could be even better, I ask myself, what's the point of it all if it won't do anything for me? It won't make me look better. It won't improve my life. Nobody is going to notice and nobody cares. . . So what's the use? And what do you know, suddenly, I'm happy with the jacket.

I'll start applying that to my entire life. :D

If I had a dollar for the number of times I've seen a dude walk past and thought, if only that jacket had 1/2 inch off x measurement he would look cool

...well, I wouldn't be any richer than I am today lol

I certainly have done it myself, and probably will do it again but 1/2 inch is boardering on obsessive territory, not in a good way.

Merry Christmas guys, may all your jackets grow or shrink that magical 1/2 inch.

Too darn cold in Milwaukee for any kind of jacket. This is a 1980s L. L. Bean Parka...and long underwear...and wool skullcap...kinda day.

Sometimes - actually many times, there just isn't a "fashionable" as in "look at my new jacket" solution that is as functional/practical and comfortable as a well fitting down parka. And I find a certain "beauty" in that.

It was a Christmas miracle. The temps in Sydney dropped pretty dramatically, enough for me to break out the Flat Head Cafe racer for Christmas lunch with the family.

....and yes, that’s a 4 person Sangria in a mini colosseum bowl all for me!
