@Mysteryo Dude, instead of another priceless relic, what you need to do now is seriously need to invest into a better camera and take some more photos of your jackets for us mortals to get a little closer to these things that dreams are made of.

+ 1000. I personally would contribute to a fund for a new camera for @Mysteryo (not that he needs the money). Perhaps we could start a crowdfunding effort. Waking up each morning to a high quality photo of one of his jackets would be a great start to my day.

This morning, I’m wearing a 1964 A-2 deck jacket...maybe the earliest A-2 I’ve seen. Like flight jackets, deck jackets often wear their histories on their backs. The badly faded stencil on this old A-2 testifies that she once served aboard the US Destroyer Reeves. Interestingly, the Reeves was commissioned in 1964, so there’s a chance the jacket was part of her original gear. Warm and comfortable but low-key and understated, the A-2 deck jacket has always been one of my favorite pieces of military outerwear.

@Atticus Finch , I'm a big fan of the A-2 Deck jacket as well, that one looks great.
@A-1, could be just the pic, but any idea why it appears the right panel is fading quicker than the left? do you carry a bag over that shoulder? or maybe the guitar?

Indeed it looks like it. Perhaps it’s because I’m right-handed. I also like throwing balls and sticks for my dogs with my right hand. I don’t carry a shoulder bag, only a rucksack.
Quite interesting as you mention it...

Thank you!

Not answering for A-1, but his jacket might not be fading asymmetriclly. Might just be like that nekked woman in the Fable of Miss Toodie Green.
