Not sure why they don't show up. I'll try again.

Pics showed up this time. That old Gibson is sure cool! Not too many of those around anymore. But they have done a number of re-issues, it seems. I'm an old blues man. I have a 70s Takamine (Japanese Martin imitation) that I picked up for a song after my apartment was robbed a long time ago, and they got my Martin 00018. The 00018 was a pretty small guitar as is your 33 Century of Progress, but had a big sound as I imagine your old Gibson does. Nothing like the sound of an old steel string acoustic! Of course no comparison. You have a treasure there. Spruce, maple and mahogany, no? Can't quite tell from the photo, but looks like you have some mother of pearl inlay on the neck-fret board. Did you buy it new at the Worlds Fair in Chicago? :)

I haven't played in a while due to arthritis in my hands, but that previous photo of the dobro, inspired me to mess around with some open tunings and try some bottle neck.

Not quite that old!:) I'm a Harmonica player on stage, the guitars at home.

Now I see the photo. Super cool jacket and guitar. Maybe the photo not showing up is a browser issue? I'm using Google Chrome.

I think it an issue with google photos. I use to put photos. I like it, but has glitches from time to time.

Nice Century of Progress! I have a '33 L00! Dig the jacket too!!

Sounds good! I bought and sold Vintage acoustic guitars for many years. I've ended up with around 30, mostly Gibson acoustics from the 30s. I was very involved with collecting data, documenting pre-war Gibson guitars. Now they are my nest egg. I'm going to a guitar show this weekend to sell a few.

Here is a 1933 in basic black with a Lost Worlds Test jacket.

I am as much of a poser as a musician, as I am when I put on a biker jacket. But I can blow a little harp still. Was that 33 basic black rebuilt. It looks brand new. As I'm sure you know it seems that they are re-issuing reproductions of the originals, in the same way as JC and the others do with jackets.
The world of vintage collectables, is funny place. I just read that the 33 L00 was the least expensive guitar that Gibson put out at that time. Just a bunch of po boys picking and playing. Kinda of the same with the jackets, work boots, caps, hats, jeans, work cloths, and all the reproductions.
Now I bet that Black and White Gibson projects a bit more than the Century of Progress. You could play a much bigger room.

Stringmaster, do you have a CD you sell with you playing that po boys giitar? Love to buy it.
