I had my early 60s Brooks out for a video with a couple of other Cafe styles. I do find the fit of the Brooks of this style to be the best for me. I did measure mine and it must be a 44. These are so affordable too.

It isn't the quality of the Langlitz in this picture and not near the cost. The Langlitz did not fit me. Now that I know the size I can get serious about another one.

There is a cool factor with the Brooks that makes them seem even more of a deal.

Superb!!! The crown sprung zip alone is worth the sold price. Wool looks fantastic! I love shadow plaid like this. Personally I would add a leather banded cuff to squeak out another 1-1.5” in the sleeve length, but in all honesty the jacket looks absolutely perfect on you. What a score!!

Just home from a very long and sun drenched vacation in my favorite place on earth, Union Pier MI. Thanks to @nick123, I have this unbelievably nice Aero (modified) original Herc in blk/brown vic. What a jacket!!! Serious heft, beautiful grain…I could not have drawn up a better fit if I tried. I am over the moon. All the mods are exactly as I’d want them. This is an exit piece. There’s little left for me to get after. Aero has really out done themselves on this and my wool jacket. The repro vs original see saw balance has tipped yet again.
I have attempted to recreate @jonesy86 epic catalog photo below. LOL. I actually might need a legit fedora. Oh the humanity.

Yes, the shortish sleeves just add to the old-timey look. Don't touch it. Looks great.

Most these old wools came with 23”-24”sleeves. For me it’s impossible to not alter but there is something to be said for leaving well enough alone…that’s just not in my nature.
