I was thinking my new old jacket today.

But I'm thinking it's actually overcoat weather, unless I linger around the house long enough for it to warm up outside.

Let's see some fine jackets here today.

Everything is a win. Ditto re. sweater. I wish I had 10 of those, wouldn't need another one in my life. The cap is awesome, too.

Love this package! If I was looking for a sweater like that, what would I call it?

When everything's collapsing, trust the kids!

Thanks A-1. The sweater is US military surplus, likely from the 1960s. 100% Wool. The label,

Label:
Sweater, Man's 100% Wool, OD
Contract No. DLA100-89-C-0405
Stock No: 8405-00-163-8906
Size: Large (42-44)
Jack Young Associates, Inc.

It is a very athletic cut, so if you look for one you may want to size up from your regular size. I'll try to get a photo of it untucked later.

Monitor -
The cap doesn't exactly fit today's color scheme, but it is something I made a couple of years ago and it hasn't had any head time in quite awhile, so it came out to play on what is supposed to be a very windy day.

Love this! Suits you down to the ground, this one. Looks effortless together with the rest of your outfit and that cap is just the absolute bomb.

Cold War 5 button sweater issued in 1989, pretty much identical to the WW2 version but in more of a brown shade than olive.

Thanks Barnabus. I should probably make some more of these caps in a few more colors and some better quality fabrics.

Thanks for the info Marv. I picked the sweater up yesterday at a local thrift. The erroneous info I posted came from an etsy seller, which reminds me once again to not put much weight on their sales pitches. The label info is correct. I agree with Monitor that I could live with another 10 of these. The wool seems very high quality and very low itch factor. Still trying to track down how old the Swedish pants I'm wearing are too. Are you good with other countries surplus goods?

Thanks,
Michael

Love this. Wouldn't even know it was blue from the pics though. Does daylight bring the colour out more in the flesh?
Barnabus, the blue is very subtle indeed. Even out in the sun it has been mistaken for a black jacket by some of my friends. Only when you look more closely, or hold it up next to a black jacket is the blue noticeable.

Well, considering the amount of women this sub-forum had seen, the chances that a legit female poster suddenly pops up are about zero to none.

You're right. In fact, it probably wasn't even a female who posted - probably just some smarmy guy with a random internet photo.

Reverse image search suggests that Jessica Mullen's photo also appears on the Google+ page of Stephanie Fernandez. Also linking to a USAJacket jacket.

Do we do that here? Apologies if that's bad form, but I kind of hate spam.
