What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I’ve made 2 offers on that one… so far seller not budging…

I suspect the seller may be flipping it after purchasing it for under $100 on Etsy. The timing of it and the fact that it isn’t a commonly seen jacket, especially in a 48. I would have jumped on it if I had known the 46 would fit me the way it did.

I know they are called canteen, i dont need to be part of military to know that, but i choose to call them bottle, or perhaps flask, anything but canteen because canteen was a place in my school where i bought and eat my lunch... less confused people the better.

Yep, that - Though in reality we didn't call them neither but whatever word corresponds to these in my language. I always thought the etymology for the word is French but turns out it's Italian, actually.

Oh, and Nave, as someone who's clocked more miles on a bicycle than on any other form of transport, I beg of you, get that stuff of your bike! XD But it does look cool, no doubt there.

@ton312, that jacket is looking really cool! Hide is ace.

Just unboxed this beauty. I can see why jmax found it tight in the shoulders. They are wide but I can feel them across the back. Works well enough for my purposes though. Passaic makes a great jacket!
Thanks @lina for letting this one fly. Now if only my Kurland would emerge from the postal vortex….

I bet it is...

Do you know the approx. weight by any chance?

A few years back I had the wild idea of getting myself a "cool bike". Everything I checked out turned out to be way too heavy. I live in a pretty hilly city, and anything beyond ca. 14-15 kg is just not functional any more...

the frame is hi ten steel (a la bmx), saddle weigh 2 kilos at least with all those coiled springs steel, and then those dynamo lamps, and fenders, double stander, and semi fat tyres, those are the heavies, the packs and bag are lightweight, that bag I hang on the steering bar is a replica of m1945 pack but made of water resistant totebag material ideal for grocery shopping, I can fold it into a size of a wallet and put it in my pocket, but hang it on my bike looks cooler. the other hardcase pack are lightweight same like tupperware. I think it is around 15 16 kilos just by lifting it, probably 18 if I carry tools, bicycle pump, raincoat, and that full water bottle.

but then again, I weigh 58kilos, probably 62 with jeans, boots, and jacket, still a lot lighter than someone of 80kilos riding a carbon bike.

Again and again a cheek, how you fit jackets off the rack. I wish this would be the same for me. Then I could just buy used. lol

Haha, thanks! Good point about your own weight! I always muse about people spending 100 Euros to safe 100 gram of weight on their bike when it would be for free to just take a pee before going for a ride...:).

To be completely honest, a fit 80kg guy will probably have more muscle to shift some weight than a fit 58kg guy. No offense...
