Went here to post and then Torfjord comes along with his Thedi… Anyhow! courtesy of @Monitor, very first shot with that Levi x Aero:

I certainly also could live with a Large, but back length certainly profits from the „X“

That jacket is brilliant and looks like a great fit on you! The only thing that was stopping me from jumping on it myself was my incoming Thedi.

Such a cool jacket. I love the pointy collar. Great color too. Congrats.

collar is just great

how fate plays a big role on jacket circulation in these waters…

And yes, my wife commented on the short back, as expected!

Pretty much that is the typical weather in the LA area. Before moving here I always wondered why sometimes you see people in shorts and a tshirt and others in long pants and a jacket. It really depends on if you'll be in the sun and which microclimate you'll be in dictates your dress.

Coming from the midwest (basically middle America for the non-Americans) it isn't like that at all. If it is warm it is so hot and humid that being in the shade isn't terribly different than being in direct sunlight. So a humid 75 still means everyone is in shorts and a tshirt since the humidity makes the air damp and hot.
I live in higher elevation in somewhat narrow island of java, weather pattern here is very local, i can be totally drenched from heavy downpour and a street later that area is either totally dry or rain has passed there . Also quite normal for this hot burning sun radiation and fresh wind, but last few days this fresh wind turned chilly, like standing in front of a fridge in hot summer. This contrast is a little bit unpleasant since i feel hot on my skin and then side blown by the wind ice cold. I called some family members thinking maybe just me having cold symptoms, they said they feel it too.

My son, Jax, is looking for a fit check. Is the p2p a tad big?

He told his 4 yr old sister that he wanted to wear daddy’s jacket so she got it down from a chair and helped him get it on. Hooligans!

Thanks man! I know I aired concerns here but my overall response is “woah that’s cool!”

I did email Damon about the fit and the funny front panel just because I wouldn’t want to say something negative without also bringing it to him. Honestly the bigger-than-expected fit is more of a concern to me. I’m curious about his take on fixing it now vs giving it some wear first.

JL is going to make a new jacket. They’re going to compare the fitting to the current jacket and make it right.

I did talk more about the jacket (especially the fantastic leather) in the Johnson Leather thread for those who are interested.

Ha! I laughed out loud with this one when I scrolled down and realised it was reaching his tiny ankles! He needs another kid's shoulder's to sit on.

Reminds me of a gig I did once years ago with The Chap where we got people to dress up like they were Chaps. Lots of tiny kids interested.... I remember putting one of them, must have been about this age, in my RAF safari jacket/shirt. On me, with the sleeves rolled it has a big game hunter look. On this kid it looked like Bogie's trench coat. :D

Cross post from the JL thread and I didn't really wear it (quick fit pics in the morning before I went hiking) but feel like it's best to share their lovely work on this thread where there's more traffic. Lighting is not the best when I took the photos but I'll take better (or rather I'll atleast try to) photos when it's a little cooler.

JL's take on the French Cyclist/German flyer jacket. Leather is made from Seal(dark brown) Horween Vermont and has a detachable cream mouton collar with button securement.
