Did you figure out if it’s Havana or Walnut brown?
@tmitchell59 had both and discussed them on his YouTube channel. (17:15)

The havana definitely looks more orange and the walnut leans more towards seal. I guess ours are from a special batch :)

@Captain Sensible do you know which color yours was (Bottom left)?

Well, I first wrote the listing as Havana as in my mind this was the colour I had. Then, it being eBay and taking care on the accuracy of the description, I checked the Eastman site and ended up similarly unsure so I just stated brown as the colour. To me it is not the dark chocolate/seal you might expect of the Walnut yet appears too dark to be Havana.

So I hope that clears it up for you :D

I commented on your jacket before. I understand your comment about FC like mis-matched panels. Did you buy this jacket in or from Japan? I was stunned today when I opened a Lost World Japan market jacket and discovered just what you are saying. The one I received today is unused, zipped up and put on a shelf. The panels were placed and sewn as shown. An amazing Jacket and amazing coincidence.

The collars of my Fine Creek and the LW are the same. Fine Creek must have seen this effect on a new jacket like this. Ironically LW may have considered this a 2nd? It is not their typical perfect.

I bought it domestically from someone here in the US so can’t say if it originated from Japan. But seems likely considering your points. Here’s a better pic of the varying panels.

@Jin431 I'm so jealous that you have a brown one that fits. Looks amazing. Having to give up my brown one still makes me sad because that one is much more difficult to find. You will have no issue finding a black one.

Thank you. Now I get your old review about the jacket even more. I hope you get your brown mulholland sometime soon. The mobility and range of motion of this pattern is phenomenal. I really want a black one for sure.

The caboose's shade of brown looks much richer than the vintage brown and the collar is just beautiful.

Thanks! Yes I prefer the leather on the Caboose, but as you said, the Mulholland is fantastic. It's a jacket that proves you don't need shoulder gussets to get a great range of movement.

The brown mulholland seems to have a pigment finish and there's some little squeak here and there but the caboose on photos seems to have no top coat and I'm imagining it's pretty smooth/squeak free. I cant imagine how they constructed the underarm gusset but it makes a big difference. Thanks for sharing your insight into that article.
