I need one of these

Me too, but RMC stopped making the Wayward. Over the years, I have searched high and low for a Wayward in my size, but to no avail.

Yes, instead they made what is IMO a much better version, the Nelson or the Disfarmer (same jacket just in deerskin)

I'm surprised that you haven't been able to find one. They don't come up often, but they are out there. There are two on yahoo auctions Japan right now.

So it’s (already) there! Am interested to learn how you will like it, and if you manage to include it in your rotation of great jackets in the long run.
Wasn’t super fast. Quoted 8-12 weeks and took 16. Sizing is perfect. Pleasingly less stiff than expected. Should mold to me pretty quickly. Construction is solid. Only issue is that it wont be the right weather for this jacket for about 3.5 months.

Thanks- no experience with Japanese Auctions but may be the only outlet for these pieces.

Only the second time I've worn this vintage Schott perfecto since getting it last year. I definitely need to wear this more!

That definitely fits you well but i get why you do not wear this as much because of all the other grail jackets you wear all the time.

Thanks for the take on the collar, I'll try to shape it like the ones we see on those older bates if possible at all

Haha thanks! Sometimes I get to thinking that the vintage pieces are the true grails.

No need to shape it, just wear it a lot..the collar will naturally take on a nice shape.

The Nelson and Disfarmer are shorter than the Wayward -- too short for me.

Interesting. That’s one of the things I don’t like about the wayward on me...the back is a little too long and because of the fact that there are no side panels, it tends to billow out a bit in bottom back when worn open since or it bunches up when I zip it up. I also like the fact that they removed the extra piece of leather on the collar on the Nelson/Disfarmer.

Also, the wayward is an older model and not even sure if it’s Shinki. Don’t know where it’s made either. If anyone has any insight on this, it would be very much appreciated.

For the longest time, I didn’t feel comfortable bidding on yahoo auctions Japan, but then I discovered buyee.com. It’s super easy and safe, never had an issue.
Once you get the jacket, how does shipping/tariff work? I really don't want to know but I have to know lol

Always liked this jacket. This looks great on you. What color way is it?
