Took some better pictures of the new LW Ryder this afternoon. I’m really loving this jacket and I highly recommend the 3.5 oz horse to anyone who wants an LW but doesn’t feel the need or desire to get the really heavy stuff. At a little over 4 pounds it weighs about half as much as my CHP.

The jacket arrived on Monday just in time for some unseasonably warm weather. It was 73 degrees when I went out for my walk this afternoon but I took the jacket with me anyway. Figure I can break it in a bit carrying it around under my arm...

Perfect fit! I love the Ryder. When it looks as good as yours there’s no question...it’s Stu’s best pattern. Just a perfect everyday leather jacket.

Not a bad idea!

I don’t ride (other than bicycle :) ) so I may be able just to find a preferred fit and cut it very short. We’ll see!

That's what i have done on most of my laced jackets, i find the sweet spot, make a double flat knot and chop the ends, i am not a fan of dangling leather laces:

Saying that, my Langlitz has this two knot setup that i like and i don't feel the need to cut them shorter:

My brand new Aero Highwayman in Vicenza cordovan. I asked for a sympathetic lucky dip tartan lining, and I’m very pleased with the outcome. Logan modern I think, looking at the Lochcarron site...

Fresh out the box from @Monitor to me- hybrid Trucker / CHP style

View attachment 216158

Will probably have to chop down the laces to keep them from getting tangled in stuff or yoinked by kids, cats, etc...

Love this style- thanks @Monitor

Honesty - and not just 'cause it was my jacket - I didn't think it'd fit you this good. 10/10 perfect as far as I am concerned.

I bought these red laces in Canada. The jacket originally had these flimsy, fabric laces. Like shoe laces. Didn't look good at all. Figured red would really lift the jacket.

@AbbaDatDeHat , I'll be honest with you, that Langlitz doesn't fit you at all. Especially zipped up. Definitely one jacket you should consider selling. Like, right now.

No good but I'll save you from it. PM me for shipping info.

Seriously though, that's your meanest jacket & one that fits you best.
I know you were funnin Ivan.
I got a good chuckle outta it.
Funny because i woke up way early after i had a dream everything i owned was stolen. My phone was stuck in an update so i was freakin out thinking all my settings were wack, was pre-coffee confused then read your post and knew all was well in the world. Plus i checked and the Columbia was still here. Lol
Thanks man for starting my day off right.
