Judging from the photo that is a 3" possibly 3 1/4" brim & a 5 1/2" crown (doesn't quite look like a 6 incher) so I would scout the ebay for a vintage fur felt cowboy hat ( you can pick up an old Stetson in good nick for under 70 bucks for example) of the color of your choice with similar dimensions, especially that of the open crown though it may be necessary to trim the brim to the desired width. I would watch the movie, freeze framing whenever the hat appeared, to see it from every angle, taking several quick sketches to note the creases & brim shape & then I would put the kettle on & do some steaming.
