NOT possible!!!!

@rougeclimber
I found a photo I took three weeks ago of the hat storage room. This is my room where I work for pleasure after retirement, surrounded by hats.
Stanza cappelli.jpg

80% of the boxes you see on the left and right are full of hats to sell. The two closets are full of my collection as are the boxes above the closets, now everything is sealed and inaccessible due to renovations in the apartment.
I hope to see the hats again and finally put into action the sale of a good part of my collection. I will keep you informed :)

Dark Olive green Stetson/ Cabelas Three Forks this morning. Interesting to see how well the beard matches this shirt.

That hat & shirt Rick, two good reasons to commit the sin of covet. Your comment: "Interesting to see how well the beard matches this shirt," brought back a reminisce and a tale of vanity.

There is a prominent mole on the right of my chin, back when I was a fresh faced graduate, I had a medical examination, during which I asked the doctor if the mole could be removed. He said that it could but there was always the risk it might induce cancerous cells. "Grow a beard," he suggested. So I did. There you go, no laughing now!

I did say that it was a tale of vanity, come middle age and the salt & pepper metaphor for the early grey hairs, started to appear. Grey? Me? Off came the beard, I would rather have the mole. Vain? Who me?

Your lovely Stetson reminded me of my khaki/green hat that Tina bought for me to go with a shirt that she made.

Now that hat gets worn everywhere, but I am mindful of where I am before putting this shirt on. At first glance you might just dismiss it as a camo shirt, well let me tell you, don't wear it in church. Look closely at the images. Can you see silhouettes of pin-up girls?

There you go Rick, and if the shirt wasn't enough Tina suggested a hatband in the same fabric!

I went for a beard and mustache years ago because my mouth is a bit crooked. Covers it up well. Might as well match that shirt and hat! I love that one.

Again I repeat (this being TFL and HAS being the normal illness we all share)

when you have too many hats :cool:

Not possible -- isn't it written in stone, at the beginnings of TFL, that one may never own too many hats (or leather jackets, or pairs of boots/shoes, etc)

I currently am looking to purchase a new house, with at least two more bedrooms. One must simply expand to store one's hats :p

New life for this 3X Resistol. I wanted to do something a little different with this one and make a casual Western with a shorter brim width and a lower open crown height. A Western that doesn't have overwhelming proportions but still a noticeable Western. The open crown height is 5 3/4 inches with a brim width at 3 1/4 inches. The crown is creased to a brick crease with a raised ridge in the middle to keep it from resting on my head. I gave the brim a moderate curl with a pull down in the front and back.
