It’s that time of year again! Time for all the stingy goodness. That’s right it’s Stingymas all over again. For those who don’t know StingyMas created with my friend @Redfokker is an 11 day celebration of all the fine hats that just happen to have shorter brims. If you want to join in the StingyMas fun.. the rules are simple And very loose. Show off your hats with brims at the shorter end of your collection…. For me I shoot for 2 in brims and shorter…. Though I may make an exception or two. What Is your “stingy” range?

On the first Day of StingyMas.…

Going in full blast, Joe. These brims aren't stingy, but "modest":)

Starting the weekend off right with this Royal DeLuxe Stetson with whip stitch brim edge and hatband. First time I put it on my head I could feel the stitches popping that connect the sweatband to the hat and about 1/3 of the sweatband came loose. Got it all sewed backed in a couple hours and now good as new !!
Hope y'all have a good 'un !

I wore my Crosby & Co bowler today. This one always seems to get paired with leather jackets.

Since shaving my head, I’ve found hat sizes to be much more forgiving. The hats that fit me before still do. The hats that were very snug are a little better. The hats that were a little big fit better due to the sweat band sticking to my forehead. I’m sad to say that this bowler is the exception. I was left with an itchy red patch on the back of my head with an indent where the sweatband bow is. I don’t want to let this one go, so if anyone has a suggestion as to what I can do, I’d love to hear it. @Steve1857, are bowlers an option for baking? I’m worried that if I stretch it, I might screw up the brim.

A magnificent hat, exquisitely coordinated with the collar and coat. Just fabulous.
Thank you very much! The pairing of that hat and coat was purely accidental. The hat fell off of the stack and flopped next to a couple of coats I was moving around and Ta-da they found each other. Too many hats. Too many coats!

Bowlers can definitely be baked, Gary. Remember though, very low heat, start at 80° to begin with, and not in for too long at a time.

Hope you manage to get it to fit. It's a beauty.
And then what? Put it on? Put it on a stretcher? I’m keen to make this work. It’s my only stiff felt and I’d hate to have to say goodbye to it.
