This morning I'm wearing another No. 1 Quality Stetson, this one in Mist Grey. I got it for cheap because the sweatband was torn partially away from the hat despite the hat looking brand new and unworn. I sewed in a new sweatband and added a pencil curl brim just because I like 'em that way.lol.

AWESOME, Timmy! The whole package: the hat as stock, the subtle pencil curl, the excellent job you did on the sweatband, and especially the use of the original sweat's logo. ::chef's kiss::

Thanks y'all. My only regret was that I did not have a dark Brown sweatband on hand, it would have matched the original sweat's logo better I believe. Just too impatient to wait !

This past weekend we had plans to travel to Northern Florida where we would get a little bit of cooler temps. I set aside a couple hat choices for the trip that Would enjoy in the weather in St Augustine and to wear to the Jelly Roll concert in Jacksonville. I could just kick myself as I managed to leave them sitting on the dining room table while packing the car to head out. This left me my travel hat for the weekend the Crushable rollable Portis Lite Wate that I had already plunked on my head. It managed to serve duty quite well.. but I do think what would have been with the old Mallory Melusine fur in the cold air.

That is as good an OR as they come, Greg. Beautiful.

The P&C Habig, actually it was Tina's choice. My house-husbandly chores have kept me rather busy, but I'm pleased to say that the lady's recovery continues, albeit slowly.
She treated me to lunch out yesterday, and over the meal showed me your photo Stefan. Did I like the hat and would it not go well with my striped blazer of similar hues? I've been told that Santa might be getting a letter.
You must have been very good boy then, Robert. Hopefully the elves will manage to get it ready in time. Thank you. Good to hear Tina is doing better. Send her my best wishes.

Took my new, deep purple Borsalino 50 Grams S.Q. Felt for a night out

Been curious about those, Rob. Looks like a fine hat. How much does it really weigh?

Lovely Barbisio, Marcel.

Stefan, Thank you! Super hats from you this past week. I still have to go with the Carl Blum Velour. Such a great Austrian Velour!
Thank you, Steve. Been looking for my other velours today, so more of them coming!

Looks like you had fun, Joe. That Portis can hold its own by the looks of it. Fine hat.
Stetson New York LE, still open crown in Tobacco Brown. This lid came from the Matt Deckard era at Stetson, while they made some great lids.

Some of these hats you just can't bring yourself to crease. Looks great as it is, Charlie.

I wore my Resistol 3X SA this morning.

Finally took the P&C Habig Homburg out for a spin today.

Looks more grey in the late afternoon November light than its actual more sandy grey like colour as seen in Stefan's original photos.

So pleased with this one
Love the curl.... After starting my latest project, I have a whole new level of admiration for curled brims like yours... THEY ARE NOT EASY!

Well I THINK I finally remembered all the things I needed to get for Thanksgiving ( Only made TWO trips back to the grocery today lol)

Since Thanksgiving is almost here, I dressed in my most "autumn" gear today. Settling down with a big Mango Mojito out back. ( Thats a traditional Holiday drink isnt it?)

Probably fire up a pipe in a bit (just finished cleaning up a new to me old silver mounted Peterson... it needs some fire in it!) It made it all the way from Northern Ireland only to have the box crushed in Dallas... appears to have survived fortunately! Trying to decide whether to break it in with an Aromatic or a Spice blend. Time to light the fire pit tonight and just chill out.

A most happy Thanksgiving from The Piney Woods of Deep East Texas!!! Peace and happiness to all
