Just what I was thinking. Mine are old Akubras that I picked up for very little, or cheap palm straw.
Woo-hoo!! What a pair, Eric!! Very nice!Good morning. A Stetson OR Twenty-Five "chore hat" was my soirée, birdfeeder filling and limb moving fedora.
A Lee All-American in gray was my change for sitting on the deck and sipping coffee. This minty hat is from the Hirsch haberdashers find.

Making bread is a trick that has a learning curve and it takes a while to figure out which recipe works for you. Then there’s the million “secret” ways of doing things and all the various tools one needs. Just like hats or anything else, once you jump into something you find out there’s a lot to find out.
I’ve found that making a “bread sponge” first, is the way to go for tastier, fluffier, longer shelf life breads and also ending up with a more open “crumb”.
It’s enjoyable if ya have the time, and taste great too—if you’re lucky and happen do it right, that is.
