Sometimes you just have to listen to the hat. This unlined Strat Medalist has been giving me trouble for years—never looked right brim down. Now that I’ve stopped fighting it, it is one of my favorites.

Brüder Böhm "Lido" possibly later 1930s. This is a stiffer Soft Felt Hat that is very light in weight. I think it's Wool but I am not sure because of the unusual processing. This hat was part of my May 2016 NOS Czech find.

This is what the B. B. Sweatband Stamp looked like prior to being in contact sweat. The gold ink must contain a good amount copper. I see this often with older hats (Liners and Sweatbands).

External B. B. Size Tag that was on this Soft Felt. The bottom of the discolored portion was folded 90 degrees and slid under the bottom of the Band/Ribbon.

The find also included this B. B. Hat Holder.

Much nicer neighborhood than the Ranier area lol
Obviously better than Seattle proper these days, but back in my Washington days, even the woodsy areas were bad...Ill bet Ive broken 3 or 4 shock absorbers on the washboard road going up to Mowich Lake on Ranier lol

Travel safe!!
We expect many photos!!!

Have a safe and splendid trip, Nathan.

Don't forget to send us posts while you're away on your exotic journey.

Have fun, but not too much, or we may have to try to bust you out of a foreign prison!

Thanks gentlemen!

After four full days of travel - literal planes, trains and automobiles - I finally arrived. I am now on the complete opposite side of the world!

Unfortunately my hotel’s wifi is not supporting photos right now so I will have to catch up on this thread next week when I have the better signal.

Until then, greetings to all from Melaka, Malaysia - maybe I can get this one photo uploaded of me and the Fed IV beside the river this morning. If I’m lucky, I can also get this one of my breakfast uploaded (I know there are some foodies on this thread)… this dish is called “laksa”, the local version of coconut milk soup. It is AMAZING.

Happy weekend, folks.

The last few days I've been posting pix of my stingy brim fedoras and today is more of the same. Stetson 3X Beaver Quality Selv-edge in Brown with Black ribbon hatband and maroon liner. Once again the plastic liner tip was badly torn so I removed it. I got a feeling Gordon McLeod was one pool shooting, dice throwing in the backroom of a local honky tonk kinda guy back in the day.
