After the Panizza Sportsman and its shape of Lord hat and coachman together (thanks for the likes) I had a seasonal illness that kept me away from hats.

I return with a hat of the same shape, but to be worn on different occasions

Flechet De Luxe - Century in melousine felt, black (Noir) soft and shiny quality K.M. R I 2

The curled brim does not have the sealing ribbon and the shape is the same as the previous Panizza

The size is 59 centimetres, or 6 French points and 7 3/8 in the States.
To be worn with an appropriate coat and elegant scarf in the evening at some theater premiere

Today he takes me to the terrace

I would hold on to it and not let go! I don't usually covet wool hats, but that is an exception.

56 fahrenheit! People are wearing polar jackets!

Here in Illinois (and the Mid-West generally) most are still wearing shorts at 56 degrees (and even lower temperatures).......we break out the winter coats in the single digits!

Here in the South Hemisphere warm weather is starting. Today I'm wearing my panama made in Ecuador by request of a famous local hat store in Santiago, "Donde golpea el monito".

Dang! I really cannot understand that. I think it's because I was born in Acapulco, but cold gives me a very similar sensation to fright.
When I feel afraid I quickly turn it to anger, just because it is less unpleasant, but I can't shake the cold.
The first time I felt true cold was in Chicago, when I went to my postgraduate program interview. When the automatic doors to exit the airport openned and I took my first breath outside it was shockingly incomprehensible!
The cab driver kept laughing at me the whole way.
"It's not really that cold out, cousin".

Yes to all, in a certain sense. It's the name of the store, and it's a curious one. Donde golpea el monito is a family hat store that started in 1915 in Santiago.

In 1922 they installed a mechanic doll they bought in Paris. The doll has a stick that periodically strikes the glass of the window. In Spanish we use the word "mono" ("monito" is a diminutive) to refer to a monkey, but in Chile we use it a slang term to refer to cartoons, animated characters, dolls and toys. So this doll is the famous "monito" that strikes the window. Right now is under restoration.
