Went ahead and added some character to this ole hat. Couldn’t leave it be, though I did like the way it was with only a single crease.
Put in a pinch and a symmetric diamond then swooped up the sides in front.
I like it even better.
Also used more tan dye on the ribbon for more pronounced faux aging. Went a bit too dark around the bow, I think.

Halban & Damask Wien "Echter Velour", possibly 1920s. This Velour was made for Norwegian market. I believe this is the only Halban & Damask Wien Hat on the FL. They were a well known Hat company in Austria but it's nearly impossible to find one of their hats. I really like the Bow design. This Velour was found back in 2012.

Halban & Damask Wien Brass Hat Display Stand. Probably from just before WWI so displayed with a period Hückel Melone. I found this back in 2010.
