Stranger things have been known to happen, Gary!
Thanks again, Terry. It does look a very similar hat.

I do own a black vest. No cowboy style boots, though. Anyhow, I doubt they’ll be hiring a 10 stone weakling with a funny mixed up accent to play a role in any upcoming western movie.

A fantastic color and a great bash, Joe.
From the other night…

OPS era…. Portis Sterling Quality Breeze-Lux

a favorite that really deserves to come out and play more often.

Hut Brömme Nürnberg 75th Anniversary (1953), NOS Condition, possibly mid to later 1950s. Really fantastic Light Gray Chamois Felt that has a very soft hand and easily dry creases. Brömme Nürnberg might have sourced this Hat from Hückel Weilheim. I found this Soft Felt back in 2021.

We both managed to sleep in this morning, probably because of that rather large glassful of wine we both enjoyed with our meal last night. The lady is still getting ready for church, she has to look just 'right.'

No time for a photo so here's a previous one, it was also a previous avatar. I have put the suit on for church this morning, my blazers I love, but sometimes Sundays are suit days, and of course Stefan, (Steur) sets the standard. You have to keep up appearances, eh, Stefan?

S. & J. Fraenkel Wien "Extra Qualität" possibly earlier 1930s. This is a really great Metal Gray Echter Velour Soleil. I found this Velour back in 2015.

"Fraenkel Wien" Mirrored Display Stand, date stamped May 2, 1931. Notice same "S. & J. Fraenkel Wien Extra Qualität" Liner Crest as the above Hat. This was gifted to me by Daniele back in 2018.

Really beautiful hat, Joe. That ribbon makes it sing.

A black hat and open crown as well; we don't see enough of that here. Very cool, Greg.

Ten out of ten!

Nice combinations there, Marcel.

Nice hat and a cool herringbone coat too.

That looks so pristine I'd be afraid to touch it. Gorgeous.

Lovely heather felts!

Halban & Damask Wien "Echter Velour", possibly 1920s. This Velour was made for Norwegian market. I believe this is the only Halban & Damask Wien Hat on the FL. They were a well known Hat company in Austria but it's nearly impossible to find one of their hats. I really like the Bow design. This Velour was found back in 2012.

Sure looks like one of those great Hückels to me.
Really nice, Brent. You can have a lot of fun playing around with the shape of that much crown.

We both managed to sleep in this morning, probably because of that rather large glassful of wine we both enjoyed with our meal last night. The lady is still getting ready for church, she has to look just 'right.'

Exactly, Robert. Especially if there are church ladies involved; they seem to have eagle eyes for that sort of thing.
