For the new hats series here is one of the Borsalinos that arrived in somewhat miserable conditions because they were poorly maintained and photographed with incorrect data
Salice Borsa 3.jpg

Borsalino Qualità Extra Extra Superiore, size 59 centimeters or French points 6 1/2 or 7 3/8 in the States
Salice Borsa 1.jpg
The color of the felt is "Salice" and no other indication is given by the paper label.
The manufacturing date is 1982 based on the label
Salice Borsa 7.jpg
You will know more when it is photographed specifically for the appropriate thread.
The color and the felt with its finish are beautiful. I took a risk and it worked out well

Happy Saturday and thanks for the likes and kind words about the Thibet Luxe wool blend

Looks like a wonderfully soft felt.

Very nice whippet!

I could turn this one into a sort-of whippet clone and join in fashion forward Tuesday but maybe it’s just as appropriate as is - namely, incomplete (not fully arrived?).

Adam majestic quality. Possibly a 1940s hat. A favorite beater. No ribbon.

Original price: $6.00. Maybe too high for the 1940s?

Today I went and picked up my newest addition. The man who I purchased this from said that his grandfather had this in his closet for many, many years. His family had a large farm in New Jersey and when the farm was sold after over a hundred years, he was going through the property and found this treasure. I asked him where his grandfather would of bought this hat and he wasn't sure as he or anyone else in the family ever saw hm wear a fedora. So for what ever reason, the hat was stored away and never worn. Now I've heard both sides of the coin on these vintage Stephen L. Stetson hats but what peaked my interest is, I was able to purchase it for less than 100.00. The hat was never worn, not even once, it came with the original box, and all the tags are still attached to the sweat band. Whether you're opinion of Stephen L Stetson hats is a good one or not so great, one thing is for sure, this was a treasure I couldn't pass up. Though it's a 7 1/8 and I wear a 7 3/8, I'm not even going to try and do anything with it.
