Finally cleaned this Gay Prince I won about a month ago. It had some persistent grime at the front pinch. Still not perfect.

I really like Hornskov hats. This one was called 'the Henchman'. I don't know if he still shows this on his website. It was a 50/50 blend beaver/hare, i think this blend is softer and better then his 100% beaver, in the colour stone. It fits like a glove and i am happy to have this one in my collection.

I, too, am still a fan of his, David. Darn near got into fisticuffs when a young fellow I worked with tried to convince me it was pronounced “Bē-der-bek,” not “Bī-der-bek.”

Funny. You’d enjoy going to the fest—in addition to the music you can see a lot of amazing locations associated with Bix. they have bands playing in many surviving venues where Bix played, you can see his house and grave.

I was actually wearing a Fed IV just now when I learned that Akubra has been sold. More info on the Akubra Overload thread.

We’ll see what changes are in store for Akubra, but for now cheers to the Keir family for five generations of quality service to their Aussie community and to the world.
