The recently received modern Herbert Johnson. This time with brim up. Thanks again to Stefan for this one.

That's Sweden in the background. Looked like rain over there.

Looks great with the brim up! You don’t seem to need much sun protection anyway, no?

But if that’s Sweden behind you, then where are you? Denmark!? Norway?

Nothing to do with hats? What nonsense. Note the hat colour, the makers must have known that the winning team would wear white.

The hats of the week. Let's see if I can remember which is which:)

The Fléchet, and, Stefan, at the risk of repeating myself, that trench coat is just so Casablanca!

Tina and I went out to lunch out today. The hat, she discovered is a bespoke by Gamble & Gunn. The lady bought this lid, or to be more precise, had it made. It compliments the shirt and trousers that she made to go with it, perfectly. She became so bashful when a couple came over to our table and complimented our attire. I couldn't resist telling them about my lady's sewing skills.

We had to chuckle when, later, the same couple returned and said: "That's got to be your vintage MG car outside." How did they know?

Looking good, Steve, Brim up or down. You were in luck if the rain skipped you; we've had a good of it the last few days.

Thanks, Robert. Glad you thought "casablanca"; it could have been " inspector Gadget"!

Thank, Stefan! I've been slowly working my way through quite the backlog of hats from when I was boycotting the forum. I still have fair amount in the queue, so stay tuned as more good stuff is on the way. No sense in depriving all the good folks on the account of a few a**holes.

That Borsalino is luscious!

Super looking homburg, Jonathan. You've been knocking them out of the park lately.

Close to if legend can be believed.

I'm a 15 minute ferry ride from Helsingborg, Sweden. From Copenhagen, further south from me, there's a bridge that connects the two countries.
I'm familiar with the bridge, I was studying in Germany when it opened in summer 2000. I thought it was the closest point between Denmark and Sweden, but that's what I get for assuming.

Thanks for the geography lesson, Steve!

Now back to hats - here's my new Gannon.

Looking good, Nathan!
Thanks Phil! I like this bash quite a lot but it was also the only crease I found to deal with the extreme side-to-side taper of this hat. I don’t know if the taper was visible in the photos I posted on the Gannon page, but it’s not at all what I asked for. Catastrophe averted with this bash though, since now I am gleefully in love with this fellow.

Should I be ashamed? I had to look up Inspector Gadget, never heard of the character. On the other hand there's a very famous Inspector who adorns hats and trench coats and is wonderfully dim-witted.
