Thanks, guys! I still have some good stuff coming down the pike waiting to make their debut, so stay tuned.

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the one.

Glorious hat.

The library gig will be back “In a moment…. ." Or so it will seem. I see an opportunity to expand your collection in order to satisfy the library's clients.

Cheers, Eric -

What a hat! Sounds like Eric has got the right idea

Charles, I love the hat but.................................
It's a very big but. At school we had a master who could look over the rim of his specs. Did I say look? He had a stare of pure napalm. It was far worse than corporal punishment. Thankfully though, you have a hint of a smile. Nonetheless I might still have difficulty getting off to sleep tonight now that you have conjured up that long forgotten reminisce, but for that superb hat, I might still have, sweet dreams. Yeah right!

How true. It reminds me of Jack Nicholson's line in "The Bucketlist"...
"Never miss a chance to go to the can."
Excellent Borsa Charlie. Missing the signature rascally grin.
Since the lounge is speedy delivery at the moment in my neighborhood, i’ll relate how at my current age, posting, even liking recently is like walking past a toilet…every time you do you have to pee. The silver lining is that i now have plenty of time to empty my bladder awaiting approval of my clicks.
Yay

I just got back from Ignacio's with my Wannamaker. Dang, I love this hat. He cleaned and resized it, put some stiffener on the brim, and repaired a couple of minor tears that happened during transport from Texas to Mexico City. What a difference.
Before and after pics.
I wish I knew what the numbers mean. I can count 11 vueltas, or maybe 10... what do you say, Alan?
Also, the evenness of the lines and the WPI seem almost like it was machine-weaved, but they aren't square Cuenca weaves.
Comments, please?

Ooh-la-la Eric, I could give that a good home. What's happening with our weather? It's early October and the UK is heading for a temperature of 86f, eighty-six!

1929 Bob, that is seriously impressive. An exceptional hat that has stood the test of time.
Given your's and other loungers complimentary comments about my new hat, made for me by Denton Hats, it gets another outing today. Actually it's growing on me more and more. Thanks for the encouragement.

Gonna follow up here.

Was at Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, OR last weekend at the Allen Elizabethan theater. We saw Twelfth Night, Rent and this show pictured, the Three Musketeers.

It was Pouring Friday night, so I wore my Alpine Chasseur beret and a waxed poncho.

Saturday night was just chilly (pictured here). Down vest under my tweed jacket, Stetson Stratoliner in light gray. Lovely Spouse wore her OR Research rain hat.

Nice one, Jim. I need to dig out one of my Borsalino's for tomorrow.

That is surely a great example of a fantastic hat by one of the lesser known makers, Joe.

I tend to feel like Homburgs are special occasion kind of hats. But when you find one as special as this…. You seek to find those special days.. I call this such day.. Thursday.
