Good morning hat folks. My morning soirée was under the brim of a Mallory Eight Fifty. A glorious charcoal hat!

Home and sipping cold brew I was sport'n a Dobbs Leisure Light. This charcoal/black hat has "the" felt.

Be of such high quality that can be seen and discovered while restoring.
This labeled 7 1/2 is too big for me and one to flip in need of TLC including sewing back on the sweat, cleaning the liner while leaving it in the hat, and cleaning/shaping the crown and brim.

If you ever wonder if you’re one that qualifies for having a life—then start a vintage, unreeded sweatband resew project. If you finish you obviously do not have a life. If you finish and it looks okay, that helps you feel a bit better, but still—don’t qualify.

One of my conversions. This was once a too small Churchill Western that came to me by way of alan. It's been blocked up in size and converted to a fedora. It sports a tall straight crown with a Center Dent and a dimensional brim at 2 3/4 front to back and 2 1/2 inches on the sides. I'm not sure what the hat color's called but it pairs up nice with this 1 1/2 Burgundy ribbon.

I’ll make decent profit on this flip. Not enough to recoup time spent stitching the sweat back on, but the fuzzy feelz come knowing someone will be able to enjoy the sweet old gal a while longer.

Indeed. Almost all of the legacy brands are owned by either Hatco or Bollman.

I think after all the twists and turns of acquisition, all of the HCA brands are now owned by Hatco. I know they own Knox, as well as the others you mention.

And of course, somebody owns Hatco, and somebody owns them, and so on.
