The added joy of wearing something that's made specially for you. Looking good, Robert.
You have such a complimentary way with words. Thank you.

The Admiral Lord Stefan, I love it. The baggies as promised. I even got the disapproving seamstress photographed. Note her disapproving facial expression.

Good morning folks. Thanks for all the Likes and comments. I am humbled and you make me smile.

Yesterday I went to a movie. I have not been to a movie theater in several years. A couple friends met up and we saw the new Indiana Jones movie. To be respectful we did leave our hats in our autos. I was sport'n a Gannon Beachcomer to the before and after meet-up.

My morning walkabout was under the brim of a Stetson Playboy. Cool morning temps had me reaching for a lined Playboy.

Post walkabout coffee was under the brim of a 50's Stetson Whippet. The dimensions changed in the late 50's (experienced from the hats on my hat rack). Steel blue..blue gray...??

I picked raspberries and rhubarb to make a pie this morning. No pork in this pie! I changed to a VS (dove beaver felt). This hat is inspired by the Stetson Stratoliner.

You are not wrong Stefan. Eric must have more hats than I have Hawaiian shirts. They are all most enviable too.

Off to church shortly, this is the first bespoke hat that I had made, it was worth paying that little bit extra for bespoke, after all, my suits and most of my blazers are made to measure. Come to think of it, so are my shoes. I will risk the vanity jibe and ask Tina to take a photo when we come out of church.
Robert, i’m betting Eric would love to be in your lovely bride Miss Tina’s queue for Hawaiian shirts. I know i would.

Thank you, I passed your kind comments on to the lady. At church they love my hat and trousers, but when I go to our local, smallish supermarket, there they get excited about my shirts. The pin-up models that look like camo seems to be a favourite. However, when I had the temerity to call into the shop, hatless, it was: "Where's your hat? Where's your hat?

The hats of the week. Didn't take pictures of all of them for some reason.

And just for fun the plumed bicorn. Tough to get some detail in the plumes. Bicorns are worn fore to aft here in the Netherlands.

Darn Stefan, when you showed that bicorn elsewhere i was guessing the corn’s went port and starboard not stem to stern. Ahoy White Beard!!

Been to Outlaw Square myself. In about a month the streets of Deadwood won’t be so empty.
Don’t I know it! Would have been a much larger crowd too, if severe storms hadn’t been passing through. Thankfully it cleared up before the show and folks creeped outdoors. I think there is/was a trike rally going on in Deadwood, but of course the Sturgis rally has the hills crawling with people for pretty much all of August.

Navy Blue Biltmore Millennium Collection seemed the appropriate choice to see Boy George and Culture Club in concert with Howard Jones and Berlin, last night.

Here we are during the hour and a half storm delay.

The delay did not diminish the show put on by these three amazing bands! Who made up for it by playing well past midnight. George’s hats appear to be custom for him… his guitar players long hair open crown appeared to be Borsalino or Barbisio based on the ribbon logo. Oh and.. WOW… Howard Jones is a tremendous performer!

Amazing that Boy George is still going! I’m all about that bassist’s hat though!

Sunday service and lunch with this 70s/80s (?) era Stetson 7x.

That period doesn’t get much love from us here in the Lounge, but this hat is not only incredibly soft and comfortable but also seems quite durable - it is equally at home in the semi or at worship.

One of the few hats I have with feathers but the arrangement works well for this 3-ply alongside the JBS branding iron pin.
