Beautiful day at work here in the PNW. It's just cool enough to wear my Akubra Stockman, I just pulled the liner out of it hoping to extend it's wearability into the summer a little.

My very first custom hat, a 50s style OR in homage to Harry Truman. Of course I love it: the felt is light, it's soft, it's easy to bash, I don't intend to steam it because I like the soft, pinch, hey it's the 50s and I'm doing it myself look. I think I've found my styl;e of hat, I'm getting in line for another color. Too much fun.

Great hat! You sound like me. I got back in line right after I received my first.

Hch. Klipper Offenbach a. M. "Extra Quality" possibly early 1900s. This Wool Stiff Felt has a very interesting Form and Brim work. The original ribbon was damaged so I decided to buy some Mokuba (Japan) Silk ribbon which turned out to be a great match. I contacted Bob at Black Sheep Hat Works (BSHW) and he graciously accepted to install the new ribbon / bow. Unfortunately when the Stiff Felt arrived at BSHW the box had been crushed and the Stiff Felt had major crown dents. Bob did a masterful job of fixing the dents, cleaning up the felt and installing the new ribbon / bow. The bow design matches the original so of the time period. Here is a link if you want to take a look at what happened. I found this Wool Stiff Felt back in 2017.

I know you like them tall and wide, Brent, but the dimensions of that Plains suits you very well.
