Y'know that feeling on a nice, sunny, spring day when the clouds look like big pillows and you pull out on the highway and "Blue Sky" by the Allman Bros comes on the radio?

Yeah, I had that today.

GW Alexander thin ribbon.

G.A. Dunn & Co. - Oatmeal
Very light tan/oatmeal felt
Approx 4 1/2 crown as shaped
5/16 contrasting felted hatband
2 5/8 brim with Raw edge

This very cool G.A. Dunn and Co came to me via a lounge friend who unfortunately for him did not fit. I know I’ve said in the past I don’t need anymore “Silverbelly-ish” thin ribbon hats…. But the more I look at this hat the more I realize there are exceptions to rules and this hat was made to break rules! The felt is more of a light oatmeal in color with a sort of speckled texture to it. And the hat band is a very neat dark brown felt stitched into a ribbon design.

It does have a fair share of mothing… but is really doesn’t stand out much and is the “character” kind. Another hat that really needed nothing other than sitting out in the sun for a bit to decompress from its travel from coast to coast. I decided to steam in a bubble to the crown so that my head doesn’t keep rubbing and ruining the very delicate and slightly cracked/torn cellophane logo tip protector.

Thanks go out to my hat friend Sammy for thinking of me. I believe this one will go into heavy rotation with the hot summer weather on its way.

The week (and then some) in hats. Let's see if I can them in one post. The hat worn to Ireland can be seen in the fedoras afield thread.

Now I know it's Sunday. The Cervo is magnificent, but not to take away anything from this week's line up.
When I described what I was looking for to the lady milliner, she opened an album of hats to show me and the Cappellificio Cervo ticked the boxes. The result came with a much stronger pinch, but I still love it.

Thank you, Robert. Like with a fine meal a pinch can make all the difference and more often than not it's a matter of taste. I find myself rarely going for a sharp crease, but hats can look wonderful that way. Your outfit is spot on as usual.

All is right with the world with the return of your weekly hat parade. Some great hats, Stefan.
