A beautiful portrait.
A quick and uneventful recovery to you.

Thank you so much!A beautiful portrait.

Thank you, Robert. Have to admit though that when these words pop into my mind I sometimes need to check if they actually mean what I think they doStefan, your command of English is a lot more impressive than many a native, it even comes close to your hat appearance. Now that's saying something.

My Father in-law is too cool! Master Gunnery Sargent Braxton turns 98 this week and is still going strong.

He told me he can’t remember when he got this hat, but said it was long long time ago.

Have a great holiday weekend!
Very nice, Marcel. I'm a bit wary of Christys', because their hats vary wildly in quality. An unlined Christy's today. I really start to like unline hats in this sunny weather. Not too warm.

A great hat deserves compliments. You wear it well. This past Saturday my wife, son, sister-in-law, and I went to lunch. I wore my Silverbelly Stratoliner, red polo, and blue shorts. I was being patriotic leading up to Independence Day. I received a few compliments in the restaurant on my fedora. My sister in-law was amazed. I just laughed at her reaction; I told her only confident men can wear fedoras, the rest wear baseball caps.I‘m wearing my new Hemp Stratoliner today with a Hawaiian style shirt. Here I am with it at the local coffee roasters. One thing I’ve found is that this hat gets lots of attention and compliments from random people. I’m good with that.

The hat is spot on, just like the rest of the ensemble, Robert. Glorious.View attachment 436665
Good to see others all suited & booted as we Brits say of a collar and tie appearance. I love the hat and the way it compliments your attire.

It was a collar and tie day for me today, too. We had visitors at work, they didn't see the hat, I don't wear it at the office, the blazer came off too. But how they went on about the shoes that former Lounger SimonC made me.

Can't see what all the fuss was about. By the way the hat is a bespoke, silverbelly look-a-like.
Gorgeous Stratoliner, Joe.Couple hats to celebrate this Independence Day weekend.

Last night our local Seminole Casino treated us to a rooftop pre 4th celebration that featured a quite impressive and immersive experience including projections, drones and fireworks.

That's a jawdropping series of hats, Eric. I think I'm going to faint.Good late morning. This morning I have been busy and busy wearing hats.

thank you Stefan.Gorgeous Stratoliner, Joe.
I think this one is good quality.Thank you, Robert. Have to admit though that when these words pop into my mind I sometimes need to check if they actually mean what I think they do

Thanks! And what you said about confidence is the absolute truth. My wife says that the reason I can pull off wearing bowlers (my cool weather hat preference) and fedoras like this is my confidence level. I never had thought about it before but I think that’s correct.A great hat deserves compliments. You wear it well. This past Saturday my wife, son, sister-in-law, and I went to lunch. Thanks Joe, everything went as well as I prayed it would.Hope all went well with the surgery. Glad you are up and around.
Both of those look fantastic. That‘s a stunning color for a Stratoliner and it looks great on you. One thing I’m loving about my straw Stratoliner is that it‘s equally happy with a dressy shirt or a T-shirt. Way more versatile than I would have imagined. By the way you should both be paid by the makers of the hats you post here. Those are great pictures.Costco run today. Me in my Florentine Milan Stratoliner, Etsuko in her Tula.

Thanks for the kind words. The Stratoliner is in its first season - maybe its third or fourth time out. I do like it a lot. I’d been looking at the hemp version (which I believe is what you have) when this Milan straw one came up on sale at the shop my wife was ordering a hat from, so I snapped it up.Both of those look fantastic. Any time our better halves tell us we should wear one of our hats more often is a good day… and a request we must oblige.Bailey Panama Bowler today for the fun of it. And because my wife told me I should wear it more often.
