3/4 silver grosgrain mid ribbon
1 7/8 inch under welt brim

This medium/long hair black heather Champ was gifted to me some time back by Randy @Rmccamey It is an unusual but beautiful very soft and petable black felt with hints of white, blue, green, yellow and red heathered into the mix. Randy had Rick at Phoenix hats replace the ribbon with this silver mid ribbon. I think it was an excellent choice as it really makes it pop…. And gives it somewhat of a Playboy vibe. Thank you to Randy for this Very cool hat.

This by the way is the reason I take most of my photos in the back yard. At least it’s only my wife and son poking fun at the crazy man with a hat taking selfies in the back yard.

Etsuko was in a Maxim, but she eluded the camera.
Italian seafood for dinner, me in my vintage Stylemaster, Etsuko in a Maxim beret.

Yes, we did go to the same restaurant last week, but the owner chef has taken a liking to my photos, so when he comes up with a new course (like today’s Christmas course), Etsuko & I get a free feed in exchange for the pics. I’m not posting the food pics from today simply because I haven’t had time to fiddle with them and I’m ready for bed.

Yesterday evening I took a walkabout in a Stetson 3X Fifteen.

Ika Feiner Wildlederhut for a dog soirre this morning.

Started some charcoal in the grill to slow roast a pork shoulder. A Stetson Whippet was my sous chef.

Today fog and temperature always around zero Celsius

Gray is the reference color on a day where colors seem to have disappeared.

Very few people around and a parfetta humidity for a December day

One of the colors of the day is the brown of this Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore called "Folco"

The felt is of medium consistency, very malleable. The perfect hat for a day like this

The fog was much more present years ago when it began in November and, often, made the Po Valley impracticable for days during winter, now it is more scarce.
