Custom V. We hosted a "Posada" party last night, and so went to bed late. Now I am sunbathing in my balcony with a headache.
Maybe the headache is from my fifth covid vaccine, because I didn't drink alcohol last night. View attachment 388850 View attachment 388851 View attachment 388852 View attachment 388853 View attachment 388854

Hat tip to all as everyone is bringing their A-game this weekend. It's been enjoyable seeing all these great hats, vintage and new customs, from all over the globe.
Another seasonal debut today. Weekly grocery run with the Stetson gibus top hat:

How do you wear a topper? By giving zero Fawkes what others may think, though I did elicit numerous reactions and even a few compliments today.

Well done with giving a fawke, Jonathan. That look deserves compliments, though maybe it would have been best worn on Día de Muertos. Then again, who gives a fawke
This is the first one I felt low with. Being a dentist, you have to keep up your guard
That is one beautiful Marathon
FabulousIs it showing off, of course it is, but a set of circumstances came together this morning that I just had to share. Our friends have a gastro/pub out in the wilds, north of where we live. We had a fabulous time there last night, so much so that we went back their for our Sunday lunch.
So, show off that I am, we turned up in our vintage MG, with a couple of friends, dressed for the part.

Tina with our friend, Debra, (Debbie)
Debbie's hubby is a tad camera shy, so although I have the shot, I won't divulge it.
But you can see me and Jessica. The hat, the suit, do I need to go any further?

Cavanagh with Cavanagh Edge
4 1/4 crown (at highest point as bashed)
1 3/4 black grosgrain ribbon
1 3/4 black sweat band
Original retail price $25
This was my first Cavanagh hat with a Cavanagh edge.... very nice feeling dark black felt on this one but… VERY hard to keep dust off. This one was brushed and tape rollered this morning. This one I was lucky enough to find with my own initials on the sweatband.
Enjoyed wearing it today to watch my Miami Dolphins beat the villainous Jets.
