What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Apart from being a great singer/songwriter and musician, Tom Waits is also known for his acting in several movies and his theater productions with Robert Wilson.
I can recommend, among others, the film Down by Law, and the sound track to the musical play Black Rider.
His compilation 3 cd set "Bawlers, Brawlers and Bastards" is a good place to start if you want to hear more.
Needless to say, I'm a great admirer of his work :)

Tom Waits when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Neil Young: “They say that I have no hits and that I’m difficult to work with…and they say that like it’s a bad thing.”!
He’s got loads of beautiful songs, which that gravely voice works perfectly for, think Martha or Grapefruit Moon, but Tom Traubert’s Blues may well be my favourite. I’ve never seen him without a hat of some description - usually a stingy brim, but also caps.

And to be clear…. My ramblings were not meant to disparage his work in regards to commercial success at all. What I have heard of his work I have always enjoyed. And those I know who are into his music are very loyal and enthusiastic in their support. I should dedicate some time to listening to some of his catalog as I do enjoy his voice.

Cha-Ching thanks Joe
So you're the lucky dog! You will likely never find a better hat at such a price. You may never find a better hat, period.
Lucky dog indeed, Im super excited!!
That is one fine looking Knox.
I couldn't agree more!
My thoughts? That is one beautiful hat! Congrats Jesse.
Thanks BH!
That hat is amazing, congrats on the awesome find!
Thank you!!
That’s something else. Gorgeous hat, congrats.
Thank you my friend!
Congrats on this incredible score. The moment I saw the hat I thought it had to be a Knox. Can't exactly say why though. From those in the know (not me unfortunately) it is considered one of the finest hats around.
I'm sure your eye have sharpened over the years for this sort of thing! I certainly underestimated Knox. I would be considered one of the "no knows". I can tell you that this is definitely quality through & through and Im satisfied as heck with it.

Thanks to all who liked and/or commented on my post. Sorry if I looked like a post & ditch for a second. Life happened. Who would've thought?! Happy Thanksgiving everyone

So glad you asked this question.
Yes ! I wear mine indoors at my place, when I'm not out and about.
Why the hell not ?
View attachment 381341 View attachment 381342 I’ve been wearing hats indoors a lot these COVID and semi-lockdown days. Today was the day for a Stetson 1900 Paris long hair. It fits just right…even if I can’t get the dark color to show well on my iPad.

Anyone else wearing hats indoors? ;)

Dang, Daniel, that is a wonderful sweatband.
And yes, I wear my hats around the house all the time for years now. I take them off to shower and lie down.:)
