It is a Stetson Playboy. It is a bigger brimmed as it is 2 7/8."

Excellent Borsolino. I am envious of your sunny weather as it is cool and cloudy in my neighborhood. The forecast has a high of 50'f (10'c).

Thanks for the hat compliment. Mike the Manhattan is a soft felt, great color and with a unique brim treatment. The ribbon and sweat tell me that it was not an expensive hat.

Cheers, Eric -

Thanks Eric. I'll see if I can send some sunshine your way.

Out for Thai food tonight. I had hoped my silverbelly Campdraft would make its debut today. It wasn’t to be, as my outfit was screaming out for the Fed IV.

Etsuko wore a Maxim Cloche.
View attachment 372000 The food was excellent as always. View attachment 371999
The campdraft will get its turn, I'm sure. Excellent hats and pics again, Gary. For some reason I'm hungry now:)

Love the color of this British stiff felt. A year ago, I picked up a boxtop with all kinds of Moore's info from the early 1960s. Been looking for a Moore's hat to go with it for a while now.

Sounds like a challenge;)

Excellent Quality Stetson. Limited Edition "Fortune & Glory". I really love the feel of this hat, no steam needed to shape any style you please. Pure Beaver in Tobacco. Creases easily to any Indy bash but today just did a quick center dent.

Very nice, Ken.

After the first chapter of the series "Beautiful and impossible" I needed comfort and so I wore another hat of the second wave arrived from Mantua and surroundings
View attachment 372079
It is another interesting discovery of the second wave because it accompanies the two velours made by the "Cappellificio La Famigliare" of Montevarchi found in the first.
View attachment 372080 I admire the wit of the producer who played on the words "Valdar daino" which is a nice way of indicating the joyful place where Montevarchi is located, the "Valdarno" which means the Arno valley, the river that passes through Florence.
View attachment 372081
View attachment 372082
"La Famigliare - Daino - Montevarchi" is size 58 cm. or 7 1/4 in the USA. The color is "Ruggine - Rust" for a finished felt such as deerskin or antelope
View attachment 372083
In the Italian language of the hatter, the finish of this type has two common denominations.
View attachment 372084
The hat has rough brims at 6.5 cm. ribbon at 3 cm. and crown at lowest point is 11 cm.
View attachment 372085
I had some relief after photographing the "Beautiful and Impossible" although I hope there is someone who can wear them
View attachment 372086
Have a nice Saturday and thanks for you likes and kind words of the Mallory
Fortune favours the brave, Daniele. Digging through stacks of "close, but no cigar" hats, gems like these turn up and against the odds fit you as well. Great looking colour and felt.

Trip to the store on a wet, blustery day. Weather called for a stingy to not blow away. Went with a early 60s Navy blue Borsalino stingy in mirtillo (blue berry).

Still one of the best blues around. Very nice, Mike.

Because the time for heathers is upon us. Let's make the most of it. Super hat, Steve. Is that a misto gris fer?

Outstanding assortment of chapeaux today, Stefan. The Cervo, Mayser, and Borsalino are my favorites in this batch. Always an education.

I love this hat, everything about it. I would find all sorts of outfits it would go with. Stellar!

Very nice! I do like the color of that felt.

Wow, what a finish on that French example. Impressive.

You have the "god light" (photography term) going on big time in these shots. Very nice form.

Thank you, gentlemen. These JJ hats manufactured by Roche in Saville are fun and well put together. The felt feels good in the hand, if not better than most modern-day fabrications. Well worth a look if you are so inclined.
