A French hat, Flechet, making its debut today for the first time
Flechet 1.jpg

Built many years ago by the French manufacturer and never finished, it came to me together with a lot that I bought from a Provençal street vendor a few years ago.
Flechet 3.jpg
The hats arrived in Verona were from various French manufacturers, some beautiful, some average
Flechet 6 bis.jpg

In the lot there was also this Flechet that had not been finished. Fleur took care of it by putting in a new ribbon and bow and the inner lining
Flechet 7.jpg
It is a short brim, they are 5 centimeters, so a 2 inches in US, size is a full 6o cm. (6 1/2 US).
The felt is heather and super soft. I have many hats of this type with soft and iridescent color felt, so I can also deprive myself of this.

Anyone interested write to me.

Adam Executive - The E-VENT
Light Pecan Colored Ultra Light Felt
4 3/4 crown as shaped - about 5 1/2 open
Unlined and vented
2 5/8 brim with very short underwelt
Two rows of brim stitching
3/4 inch matching grosgrain ribbon
Box pleat/gills treatment

The latest arrival, which came off a hot tip from Brent @deadlyhandsome, is the Adam Executive - E-Vent. It was without a doubt the unusual ribbon styling with a decorative wind trolley button sewn on for good measure along with the cool vent pattern that caught my eye. But upon arrival there is so much more to love. This unlined felt is super soft and ultra thin. That sort of “blow a crease in it” kind of felt… but somehow incredibly obedient. The brim is 2 5/8 with a narrow underwelt and two rows of brim stitching. I couldn’t tell if the E-Vent sweat cooling system really worked… but it did FEEL like it was cooler.. may have been my imagination. It really is an Exquisite hat that fits absolutely perfectly. Thank you again Brent for thinking of me on this one.

J. Hückel'a Synove Vídeň (J. Hückel´s Söhne Wien) possibly very early 1900s. The Crown has a lower profile and the Brim is wider and flat with a very tight Curl. Vibrant colored Liner, unique textured Sweatband with Czech wording.

Lawn cutting, leaf removal, bird feeder refill and tomato plant clean-up done in Palm Leaf hats. A bigger 3" brim for yard work. I sweated that hat thoroughly and rinsed it and put it on a fence post to dry. I wore the second, 2.5" brim (1st column 2nd and 3rd pic from top), for the garden efforts. It is rinsed and drying on an adjacent fence post.

Lunch of Seafood pho soup and Duc Tien (Seafood fried rice). I fried the rice on wood coals outside while wearing an Adam Pacesetter (brown w/gilled ribbon treatment).

I am in the lake and working on lossening the dock piers in order to bring the dock ashore and store the metal framing. I have been enjoying a vintage Stetson Medalist Hemptsted.

The spiral stitched brim is a grand feature of this hat.

Oh my, what an eclectic choice of style and colours.

These two really stand out. It's the subtlety of the colours that appeals to me, that and the way the hats compliment the outfit by topping it off perfectly. But then again, you have a knack at getting the ensemble just right.
That Brummels is a drop dead gorgeous fedora. Love it
