It turns out I'm better at this than at golf. My instructor says it's unusual. Maybe it has to do with having learned to control my breathing to do precision work as a dentist.
Wacha think, Brent? :)

1950’s Royal Stetson Bantam
Steel Grey felt
4 5/8 crown as shaped (5 1/4 open)
7/8 mid ribbon
2 1/2 brim with matching grosgrain binding

I got to open this wonderful Christmas present yesterday. And boy am I happy with it. From the photos I had thought the brim might be on the shorter side... I’m pleasantly surprised to find it a nice full 2 1/2 inches. I find the felt and design to be very similar to the Playboy. It seems to want take on a bit of a jaunty Hollywood brim. An excellent hat I think I will enjoy.

Hmmm, for 10 yards CQB that’s great. For 15 yards slow fire not so good. Stance, sight picture, breathing, trigger control...we’ll get you there. :) It can be a lot of fun for the whole family. Next you should try cowboy action shooting! I’ve been thinking about giving that a try for years.

What's CQB?
I was standing about 25 yards away, with rapid fire with the target sheet in the picture.
Before that I had shot about 20 .22 caliber bullets with a tripod figuring out in which direction I was missing. My friend says I tend to pull my shots to the right because I pull the trigger with my finger too far in. I tried using the tip only, but I didn't feel comfortable, so I just aimed a little bit to the left.
Ana really liked it. Fortunately or unfortunately, owning a gun in Mexico is very strictly regulated. You have to acquire a permit from the Secretary of Defense, and it takes several months. A letter from a psychiatrist is one of the requisites, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

CQB is “close quarters battle,” it’s where you don’t use the sights. Often it’s from the draw where you clear the holster, rotate, pull the weapon elbow close to the body, and shoot from the hip. I usually teach most CQB at 1-3 yards as defense against sudden attack at close range when you can’t assume a more effective shooting platform. We also train with CQB on your back as it after being knocked down.

My favorite shooting is informal plinking and I shoot more .22LR ammo than everything else combined.

Fun. And affordable. Better stock up soon though.

What maker hat did Boon wear??
Nice!!
B
Exactly! What make is it? When I finished watching the last episode of "Justified" I looked for the answer online. Someone said it was an "Optimo Chicago". Since I was going to Chicago anyway, I went to the store, where Tiffani told me it wasn't an Optimo. I left with two hats anyway.
Now, 460 hats later, I still don't know the maker of Boon's hat
