Merry Christmas! That’s a beauty of a Stetson.

Thnak you Snow! Merry Christmas

I prefer to stay cool, Stefan. Sounds like you need a ski vacation so you can wear your fur hat.

Thanks Joe. Hope your holidays are going well. And watch out for falling iguanas.

Thanks,
Michael

They are coming for sure Michael... or I should say freezing into position as we speak. Merry Christmas

no hat pic today, but just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all you fine folks of the lounge!

Merry Christmas Jared

I apologize for the poor photos. Funkytown is gloomy, though we did get some white stuff for Christmas. They say "the sun'll come out tomorrow, tomorrow," but we shall see.

My new Christmas hat. I saw this at the local vintage shop awhile back, but held off because it was a little pricey and a 7 1/8. But then I thought about it, and went back, but they were closed for several days (turns out the guy running it was self-quarantining out of caution). Then, a Christmas miracle!

Because I had purchased some gift cards earlier this year to support my local businesses, the Downtown Dayton Partnership gave me a complimentary $15 gift card. Not to look askance at such a sign from the hat gods, the store was open when I next went by.

Mid- to late-50s 3X Suede Finish. Very deep dark brown with self-felted ribbon. Very pettable and creases if you look at it sternly.

Thanks, Santa, and Merry Christmas everybody!

A beautiful find Jim. Enjoy. Merry Christmas

No hat today, but I too wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas.

My daughter was unable to join us for Christmas this year do to Covid, but shared this photo of her first Christmas in 1995:

Enjoyed today’s festivities in this nice little homburg by Julius Garfinkel and Co. A gift from @Rmccamey. Seemed a perfect occasion for this one. Thank you kind sir.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas

I'm working ahead a bit. To fill up this weeks entries to Italian week (rest assured: it will last well in to 2021).

It rained cats and dogs all night Christmas Eve, and most of Christmas Day. The ocean gets pretty unappealing with runoff when it rains that heavy, so I just took a nice long walk on the coastal trail when the rain let up a bit. Had to hold onto my Stetsonian to keep it from ending up in the drink from some pretty gusty NE trade winds.

Yesterday afternoon after a big dinner I wnt on a walkabout through the neighborhoods. A 30's Kennsington fedora was an excellent hat companion.

A morning dog soirée in a Gannon Wanderer (silverbelly inspired by Stetson of said name). The sun was just showing by the time I was nearing home.

Since my golf club is closed due to the pandemia, I went to a different kind of practice range today.
It turns out I'm better at this than at golf. My instructor says it's unusual. Maybe it has to do with having learned to control my breathing to do precision work as a dentist.
Wacha think, Brent? :)

Seemed like a good point for me to wrap it up... though I could have gone on much longer. But far be it for me to be the arbiter of when to wear stingies or not.

I’m sure I can speak for @Redfokker we are grateful to you all that joined us in our stingy cheer!

and any day is as good as any to Embrace the Stingy!

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well Steve!
I couldn't agree more! The outpouring of Stingy Love has been truly inspirational. Stingy hats are out of the closet (or hat boxes anyway...). Taking the stigma away from a slim brim hat has been a true joy. I'm in for stiff felts in the new year, I have a half dozen or so...
