Just brought this one home. Usually I don't go for the shorter brims/dress. I tend to lean more towards westerns. However, I had to have a piece of history from the Chestnut St. Store. Also came with a tall oval box with the double inserts. I think with the right attire, I can warm up to this one.

Very nice, Jeff. As much as I like fedoras and I'm sure the Optimo is a great hat, I have to give it to the silverbelly derby though: wonderful.

Stefan, I have to agree, on the grounds that although the Optimo is a beautifully made, perfect fitting hat of a great felt color and quality, the personality doesn't quite compare to that derby. I think hats with a little more attitude fit my personality better as well. I don't do sterile well. Funny: that's the same set of values with which I like to play music.

Continuing the stingy brim week with my Not-o-liner sold at Joe Lynch in Milwaukee. It says Strat on the sweat, but a 2 inch brim and 1 3/4 ribbon don't seem to fit the standard specs. The liner has been removed and, all in all, it is a nice grab-n-go between seasons hat. This one is a Silver Belly but it has a lot of tan/sand tint in it.
