Truly a fine ensemble! I’m floored at how well dressed you are daily. Sort of drooling at those Allen Edmonds.
I feel that it is my mission to counter the throngs wearing sweats and pajama bottoms out in public during the pandemic. I never leave the house without at least the modicum of effort to look dapper during these trying times. I'm a geek that way!

I've managed to remember my pants most of the time when venturing out.

Most of the time.

This teleworking thing can breed bad habits...

Agreed sir. Excellent sentiment. Although I admit in my morning tired only one cup of coffee I read the post "counter the thongs." It took me a couple reads to get by the image. Weird, creepy and how does Mike know they are wearing thongs. Finally it dawned on my that it was throngs. Man I need more coffee. Sipping more coffee, Eric -

Had a doctors appointment today. First day leaving the house in a while. A brown Knox Twenty was the hat of choice.

So good to see you looking chipper with a great hat on Bill. I miss you.

Art's great ribbon work makes this lid soar Brent. Made me smile this morning.

Granite Gannon this morning to get the car checked out before the holidays. Sitting next to an antique VW truck van. Sure would like to drive it home!

Nice looking Gannon. I'll have to drag out my navy to wear soon. I like the ribbon treatment.

Stetson Twenty-Five Open Road this morning taking my 8 year old daughter to school for her last day of in-person learning for at least a month. Rhode Island now has the highest infection rate in the US. I worry about my FL friends on the east coast. Our numbers are not great here in Oregon, but WOW, you guys are in real danger out there. Don't let those covid bugs sully that beautiful OR! Stay safe.

Perfect look for a Whippet Wednesday Michael. Love the color of this one, very versatile.

A Cavanaugh homburg was the perfect choice for a dog soirée.

Cheers, Eric -
This is probably the most beautiful Homburg in captivity Eric. It really gets my heart rate up! Thanks for the cardio this morning, I needed it.

I now have the vision in my head of everyone in Walmart wearing THONGS under their grubby clothes. Thanks for that...

Not leaving the bunker today. Yesterday I ventured out to the Home Depot and groceries. Wore a rather casual Stetson Royal Deluxe Porkpie back bow c.1958. Stingy, but very a period piece. It is of note that even when the styles were changing, the higher end, full featured hats were still being made. I have been kind of a shoe fetishist of late, I had the first test drive of a pair of Nubuck oxfords made by a OOP company, Walk-over. I got these specifically for summer wear with seersucker and linen suits.

Absolutely Gary. It's my favourite song :)

Thanks, Steve, though I’m not sure that’s how I’d describe it. I’m reminded of what John Lennon said (though the original quote may be much older); “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”

From the sounds of it, you, too have experienced the “Well, how did I get here?” emotion.

Thanks Mike. This one really likes to be photographed in the sun. The colors come out much better.

You've been styling the late 50s back bows lately. Looking good. Walkover made some great shoes. I thrifted a pair and gave them to a friend of mine. He wore them until he was walking on the ground and then took them in and had a complete resole done on them The uppers still looked great and he said they were super comfortable.

Thanks,
Michael
