American hat week is nearing the finish line (won't be making it to election day). The blue theme was inspiring the last couple of days. Must have gotten the memo somehow:
Gimbel (seen on archive footage)

And to finish with some blue again (and some Brent:))

I'm working forward a bit it seems with two from the archive, but they are sitting on the bench at my hatter's.

Balm for the soul, Michael. A firm number one!

.
Thanks Stefan. I could use some balmy these days.

Great look all the way, Michael. Hat, suit and coat.
Thanks Stefan. I'm very keen on the whole outfit, too. I think the suit is from the early 50s. The coat may match that age. And the hat is a 40s model.

The ribbon/binding/felt combos on that Champ and the Brent are so top notch i am at a loss for superlatives.

Thanks,
Michael

Some wonderful American hats again Stefan, especially the blues :)

Thanks for sharing American "week". Luckyily for us, it lasted much longer.

Thanks, Steve. Fun to do these because it gives you the chance of handling all of them again. Just wait until Italian "week" begins; I can keep that one going for quite a while;)

Morning walk, before the sun rises from the hills, in the place where I was born
Amiata Pelo 6.jpg

A Borsalino from the 80s in gray very common in the hats production in Alessandria: Amiata
Amiata Pelo 1.jpg

The finish is very nice, a short fur on soft felt
Amiata Pelo 3.jpg
The brims are overwelted with two seams
Amiata Pelo 9.jpg
The sun came while I was walking along this road between two walls which was, in ancient times, the way to get to Verona passing through the cultivated fields

The health situation leads me to take long walks in the open air and some paths are forced by memory.
Thank you for your kind words yesterday and congratulations on your magnificent hats.

All great hats, as always, but that Brent is absolutely fantastic, and the blue liner in the Gimbel is gorgeous

I am becoming convinced this Dobbs Hanover Square is a chameleon. I’ve always seen this hat as a silver grey felt with a silver ribbon. However today when wearing a green shirt... all I see are green tones in the felt and ribbon. I can’t however really capture it in photos.

Absolutely. In fact, as I scrolled down, I thought it was a green hat. Maybe it’s hazel. It’s a beauty whatever color it is Joe.
