Thanks Perry. It's my favorite. And the weather finely is agreeable with wearing it. It's heavy.
Great looking Whippet for you today. Is that a vintage or modern?
Thanks,
Michael
First sighting of a Mac 100 at work on the lounge i believe.View attachment 272137 View attachment 272138 Sunbathing in Juan Carlos' porch. MacLachlan Golden Beaver Hundred. It turned out to be almost my size. Just wearing it for an hour has made it adapt to my head a little. A week on a custom band block should do it.
It is very dirty, though, so I am going to give it a naphta bath and condition the sweatband with Lexol today, and will post pics this afternoon.
I have an immaculate identical liner from another MacLachlan, so I will ask Ignacio to transplant later.
I am keeping my fingers crossed. View attachment 272130 View attachment 272131 View attachment 272132 View attachment 272133 View attachment 272134 View attachment 272135 View attachment 272136

Great looking hat Jumping Jack
You could!Thank you, Joe! I might open one.
Love that Whippet, Bill. I have a thing for green hats and the tonal green ribbon and thick green brim binding really add to the hats commanding presence.
Great hat, Jim. It's got that look! Batsakes? Not sure I remember seeing that one. Can you tell me about it?
Well Steve you know how I feel about green hats. That Tonak is magnificent. The high crown and wide ribbon get me every time.Tonak "Standard" Back Bow possibly early to mid 1950s from my May 2016 NOS Czech find. Really fantastic felt on this one. Also a very wide ribbon + tall Crown with Back Bow.
I like it when you show off a little, Eric. LOL! It would take me a couple of days to steam all those beauties because I couldn't resist playing with each one once I pulled it off the stack. Not familiar with the Kensington hat manufacturer. great looking fedora. This morning I chose to wear a 1930's Kennsington fedora.
This is a fine example of details matter. The frayed bow and the gorgeous liner are examples of the care that went into men's hats by this Canadian manufacturer.
Yes the ribbon and crown need some steam. I have quite a few hats lined up ready for steam this morning.
Cheers this morning. Be safe, be strong and see you on the streets post pandemic, Eric -
