Mayser "Libelle" probably early to mid 1950s. Unique thin ribbon / bow combination. Sold by Wilhelm Zeumer (80 years) of Karlsruhe.

I often confuse the Three Musketeers with the Three Fates, so, Aramis, Athos and...Atropos?

It's Porthos, I think, that has the best line in the 1973 version. He's swordfighting somebody with one hand, and keeping his other tucked in his belt, when the fellow he's fighting asks him why he doesn't use his other hand, to which he replies: "Oh, that? That's my drinking hand!"

I bet it is hand made. I picked up some nice beaded hat bands that were hand made near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. It is a special place, but many people are quite poor, so I like to support their beautiful art work.

I went out two more times. So when I come in, I dabb the excess rain off with a towel. Jam my head block into the hat and leave it to dry overnight. If not completely dry I use another hat until it is.

Best way to take the edge off the factory crease. Go for a walk in the rain. Much better then just dunking it in water.
