I have a short brimmed Colombo.. I love it.. but it is nothing like this dazzling beauty!

Is it also a velour finish? I have owned several and I believe they were all velours.

Again Alan, an absolutely stunning hat.
The liner tip design is such a lovely portrait. By far a favorite design for me.

Early evening a walkabout in a Gannon (bone beaver felt).

I am sitting on the deck watching the sun set while wearing a vintage Stetson Whippet. The grey hues in the late evening have a blue cast to them. I grabbed a pic against my black fleece sweater for illustration.

Adam Mainliner in Sil. Sand... Appears to be Adam Hat’s Open Road/Stratoliner clone. Very moldable felt.. light weight and crisp. Amazing what $9.95 bought you even in the late 60’s. This was my first TAR. I just threw in some side dents for a modified cattleman crease for fun... which it takes well.. diamond it will take and hold with ease. One beautiful hat that is a pleasure to wear

Great Adam Joe, love everything about it. You have inspired me over this past month. My goal is to emulate your hat parade.

This week I will feature J. Hückel´s Söhne Soft Felt Hats. J. Hückel´s Söhne was nationalized as Tonak after 1945.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Superior" possibly mid to later 1930s. The felt is extremely dense with a very smooth finish. Due to the stiffness of the felt most likely worn without side dents. J. Hückel´s Söhne were probably the first to introduce Hanging Cords at the rear of the sweatband. The Hanging Cords were only installed on Soft Felt Hats. J. Hückel´s Söhne often coordinated Felt, Liner and Sweatband colors. The condition of this hat is NOS.

My wife and I have been very good about getting out for a walk every day. I have been able to switch to straw as the weather in Oregon is unusually warm. My standard has been a Cappas Bogart straw that I got from Mike Miller way back in the early days of my hat addiction.

The felt is very hard to describe. It has a very soft hand but the density and weight make it less pliable. Calling it stiff was probably misleading.

Late 60s Stetson Playboy. The condition and felt color and pinkish liner is what made me pull the trigger on this BIN. I’d much rather it be from the 40s/50s, but it’ll fill a hole in my small collection nicely.
It may have been one of the last models before giving the Playboy name the axe? Ive always imagined ole Hugh and his well adorned mansion had something to do with that.
