Got a compliment from a security guard entering a gated community.. “Love your hat man.. reminds me of my uncle.. he always wearing those wide brims”

That’s some nice stitching. I’ve never heard of the “True Grit” brand, but you can bet I’ll be looking up a bargain or two on eBay!

It molds any way you want. It’s not too stiff, not too soft. As RLK reported ten years or so ago over on a 4X thread: it is as you expect, right in the middle between a 3X and a 7X.

One interesting point: it is a remarkably cool hat, I hardly sweat in it at all. In some 50s 3X fedoras I can sweat up a storm.
